    He did not win it.

    It was awarded to him.

  2. Ebola says:

Semantics. Last I checked when you WIN the race, you get AWARDED. Ergo, “Obama WINS the gold.” I love semantics. 😛

I think a sitting President accepting the Nobel prize violates Article 1 section 9 of the Constitution.I know Woodrow Wilson accepted his,but doesn’t anyone go by the Constitution anymore?

  4. JeffS says:

    Yep, Ebola. Pure semantics.

  5. Dave J. says:

    U.S. Const., Art. I, s. 9:

” No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince or foreign State.”

Is the Prize a title of nobility? No, clearly not. Is the Prize a gift from a “King, Prince or foreign state”? I don’t think so: the Nobel Committee is a private institution created by Alfred Nobel’s will.

  6. major dad says:

Ebola, I ask you again what planet are you on? Race? What race? There was no race, the Norwegians made a political statement as if any one gives a rat’s ass. Coming for dinner Sunday?

  7. greg newson says:

Dear Dave: That’s a technicality; Attorneys splitting hairs. The prize is
    awarded by the King.
The spirit of Article 1 is what I was referring to.Obama
    should of refused the prize.
    With our nation collapsing,
    we don’t need anymore input from Europe.FU@K EUROPE> I’m
    sick of their self-assured
    compliancy.FUCK EUROPE>>>>>>>>>

  8. Skyler says:

Does anyone think that any congress, let alone a democrat controlled congress would ever refuse to allow the president to be awarded the Nobel?

  9. Greg Newsom says:

I still say,If Obamba had any class at all,he should have refused the prize. And I voted for him

  10. Gary from Jersey says:
