Thank you all. And may the Good Lord bless you and keep you safe in your future deployments.
Remembrance Day(now past in the ANZAC) for our Commonwealth buddies. A red poppy especially for our Canadian Blairite fans as “Last Post” is less than an hour away in Ottawa.
I will be in Pearl Harbor in exactly 6 days. I’m not ashamed to admit that I openly cry every time I go there. The last time I attended, I had a conversation with a Pearl Harbor veteran who was a mechanic, doing a brake job on a sergeant’s jeep when the attack commenced. I will never forget the emotion in that old soldier’s voice, nor the look on his face when I hugged him like he was my own father. He may well be in Heaven now, but he remains a nameless hero to me. God Bless all of those that sacrificed to give us what we have today. I hope we can hold on to it.

Thank you to all. Including my father, who served in the Navy.
Syd – I can’t think of a more moving place than Pearl Harbor. I have been there only once, and I cried then.
Hail to our military, past and present, and especially to those who didn’t come home.
God bless them, every single one.
