Obama campaign warns of ‘extremist’ Republicans

US President Barack Obama’s 2012 reelection campaign early Wednesday sought to portray the nation’s first Republican nomination battle as a victory for “extremist” candidates.

The Iowa caucuses — which saw former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney barely edge out former Pennsylvania senator Rick Santorum by eight votes — launched the battle to deny Obama his hoped-for second term.

In keeping with its previous line of attack, the Obama campaign’s manager Jim Messina said in a statement that the “extremist Tea Party agenda won a clear victory” shortly after the results were announced early Wednesday.

“No matter who the Republicans nominate, we’ll be running against someone who has embraced that agenda in order to win — vowing to let Wall Street write its own rules, end Medicare as we know it, roll back gay rights, leave the troops in Iraq indefinitely, restrict a woman’s right to choose, and gut Social Security to pay for more tax cuts for millionaires and corporations.”

Yeah, yeah, blahblahblah. It’s a riff on every speech the Douche-in-Chief’s given ~ or had his EE-ville minions give ~ for the past three years.

What’s the kicker are the COMMENTS ~ HO. LEE. CRAP. All 98 of them so far.

I can hear Roberta Flack singing, “Where Is the Love?”

Or is it Dylan, for “The Times They Are a Changin'”?

Oh, there’s plenty of love in the comments. As in, “I’d LOVE to Obama go!”

  2. Yojimbo says:

A smaller government and sound fiscal policy IS extreme to these marxists.

To the media corps, isn’t that a redundancy? And yet the editors leave it in.

  4. aelfheld says:

What the Hell is an ‘extremist Republican’? Someone who has a snit if the cleaners don’t get the starch in the collar right?

  5. Gunslinger says:

Well, it’s not as though Obama can run on his record.

  6. Yojimbo says:

Hopefully, he can get run on his record.

  7. Obama is scared of Romney and even though real Republicans know the difference, Obama hopes to paint him as a Tea Party Right Winger. Good luck with that one! Romney will tear him up in a debate and Obama knows it.

  8. Greg Newson says:

I think Bachman is the only one who hasn’t sold out.I don’t know anything about Santorium, yet.
Obama will probably win though, due to the massive voter fraud that will occur.

If the Yahoo Canada heading is accurate, I’m assuming that most, if not all of the comments below the article are made by Canadians. If so, then that Liberal breeding ground to the North must be changing their mindset drastically. It would appear that Canada’s Conservative Prime Minister Harper is proving to Canadians that the Liberal bullshit they’ve been fed for years is indeed, bullshit. Apparently, the Obamabots, south of the border are slow learners.

  10. aelfheld says:

Syd, if they weren’t slow learners they wouldn’t have voted for him in the first place.

  11. tree hugging sister says:

I’m not so sure about them being majority Canadian, Syd, since the link was on Drudge.
