These Democrats Remind Me of the Knights in “The Holy Grail”

“Run AWAY!!!!”

Democrats now critical of Rice’s Benghazi explanation, amid more damaging evidence

Congressional Democrats on Sunday distanced themselves from the Obama administration’s explanation of the Benghazi, Libya, attacks in the immediate aftermath of the fatal strikes, amid mounting evidence that suggests the information was revised to intentionally mislead Americans.

…“Well, it was scrubbed,” Massachusetts Democratic Rep. Steve Lynch told “Fox News Sunday.” “It was totally inaccurate. There’s no excuse for that. It was false information. And what they try to do is harmonize what happened in Benghazi with what happened everywhere else across the Middle East.”

Lynch also acknowledged the talking points were likely revised to reflect President Obama’s decry – with his re-election bid in the balance — that “Al Qaeda is on the run.”

Gosh, and wasn’t Bob Schieffer a cranky old man on “Face the Nation” this morning when Daryl Issa porved that he’d been a patsy for the Prez. To Bob’s credit, he sure wasn’t buying what the program’s Democratic guest was trying to sell to mitigate the embarrassment.

Thing of beauty, I tell you what.

I bet Obama bombs Syria or starts a war with ‘Lil Kim to get this out of the news. Any takers?

And here’s a Benghazi Timeline, Done as a SpreadSheet*Interesting to see it laid out.

And, just to round out our cast of characters, The ‘Stache says the hearings could be “very dramatic”, which could be a whale of an understatement.

Can’t say I’d object to bombing Syria or finishing up a war we wimped out on may long years ago (See Iraq – more recently). But I really hope I don’t have to give Kudos to our present President for either decision.

Indeed – head in the sand. And staying there.

I hope – see my first post. Only I hope someone gets a bit more bellicose under the radar.

  5. JeffS says:

I really hope we stay out of Syria, save to support Israel. President Zero has no backbone to stand up against bullies, and no stomach to accept responsibilities for his own turds on the carpet.

Anyone that goes in at the order of our Commander-In-Thief is doomed to be either abandoned (see “Benghazi 2012”) or thrown under the bus the first time it’s politically inconvenient for Hiz Hineyness (see, “Relatives, friends, and allies of Barrack Obama, President of the United States, 2009 through today”).

  6. Mr. Bingley says:

Well they are certainly setting up Rice to take the fall.

  7. JeffS says:

Obama and Clinton need to take the hits on Benghazi. Rice getting thrown under the bus wouldn’t be justice, but it would be entertaining.

  8. major dad says:

We need to stay out of Syria. Somebody is going to go down on this Benghazi mess, probably Nuland.

Brave Sir Robin ran away – No!
    Bravely ran away, away – I didn’t!
When danger reared its ugly head
He bravely turned his tail and fled – No!
Yes, brave Sir Robin turned about
    And gallantly he chickened out
    Bravely taking to his feet
He beat a very brave retreat
Bravest of the brave, Sir Robin

You know, something sasses my fras every time I hear “dramatic developments” in connection with a news story, like it was some scripted soap opera.

The problem is that “dramatic developments” and shocking reveals tend to be the end of the matter instead of the beginning… it’s too damned easy to settle for drama instead of actually doing the challenging thing: impeaching and jailing a whole lot of incompetent and corrupt rat-bastards.

I don’t want dramatic developments. I want to know what the hell happened, and for the miscreants responsible to answer for all of it in a court of law.
