Pensacola man charged in fatal shootings of 8 horses, 5 dogs
A Crime Stoppers tip helped connect a man being held in the Escambia County jail with the fatal shootings of eight horses and five dogs in Beulah last month, authorities said Thursday.
Craig M. Smith, 24, of Pensacola, was charged with five felony counts of cruelty to animals resulting in a cruel death and eight felony counts of killing or abusing horses, the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office said. He was also charged with one count of firearm use during a felony and two felony counts of armed trespassing.

    Hell yeah. If he’s convicted put him away for a long long time.

  2. I was pleasantly surprised by the possible ‘per death’ sentence for the killings, figuring it would be a typical redneck slap-on-the-keyster type offense. I think the article says 15 years PER horse and five PER dog.
