This Monster…

needs to die.

ZION, Ill. – The father of an 8-year-old girl who was slain along with her best friend admitted to authorities that he was the killer, saying he was angry at the girl for breaking curfew, prosecutors said Wednesday.

It gets worse as the day goes on and proves my point. Those poor babies. And bless Krystal’s brave little heart.

Hobbs told investigators he was angry that the girl had gone out and went looking for her, authorities said. He told Laura to go home but she refused, so he punched her for disobeying, Pavletic said. Krystal then pulled out a potato knife to try to defend her friend, and he attacked her as well, getting the knife away and stabbing both girls, according to the interviews.

    Just disgusting.

  2. I’m sure he was oxygen deprived, too. If not at birth, hopefully as soon as possible.

  3. Mr. Bingley says:

Bloodthirsty today, aren’t we? Lemme guess: you had fun at the dentist’s yesterday?

  4. Ken Summers says:

Bloodthirsty? I would LOVE to be the one to open the trap (piss on that candyass lethal injection crap)

  5. Oh yes, Mr. Summers. Then haul him back up through and drop him again.

  6. Mr. Bingley says:

Because the poor little girl was wouldn’t leave the park.
    Man.

  7. This is one of those cases where doing unto you what you have done to others strikes me as a delightful idea.
And the fellow he’d been staying with and his ‘they’re picking on him because he just got out’. Oh yeah they were.

I’d say that the two girls had a clearer picture of the man than Mr. Hollabaugh – they refused to go with him and tried to defend themselves. The doofus should thank God every day that it wasn’t any of his own family dead; that’s the usual outcome in a case like this.

  9. Mr. Bingley says:

Was he released early from the Texas system? It seems that, according to media accounts, they execute everyone in Texas, so it seems odd that a feller who chased his wife down the street with a chainsaw and had to be whonked on the head with a shovel:

Hobbs returned to Illinois a month ago after his release from prison in Texas, where he served nearly two years for violating probation.
In 2002 he pleaded guilty to assault against Laura Hobbs’ mother Sheila Hollabaugh the year before, said Rick Mahler, an assistant district attorney in Wichita Falls, Texas.
“He started chasing people around with a chainsaw that was running,” he said. “Somebody hit him with a shovel, knocked him down. Those people held him until the police arrived.”
He also had served time in county jails on a variety of misdemeanor charges, ranging from assault to possession of marijuana and resisting arrest, Mahler said.

would be let go so soon. I hope they try to figure out what the heck happened…after they execute him.

  10. Gunslinger says:

This ugly crime happened just a couple miles north of me. If he’s tried and convicted here, there’s no chance of this waste of protoplasm getting the death penalty he deserves (no thanks to former Scumbag in Chief, George Ryan.)

  11. Ken Summers says:

    That’s why they invented shivs.

  12. Well, if Gunny’s right…

  13. The Real JeffS says:

Execution is a great idea, especially for this monster. Not because it’s a deterrent; that’s a secondary, although important, aspect.
No, because capital punishment gets rid of people who would do things like this. An act of sanitation or public health, exactly like shooting a rabid dog.
And he’ll never kill a little girl again.
