True Signs Of Hope And Change

As Dear Paco alluded to and Sis rather churlishly harumphed about we were in DC for the past few days looking at fetid pits in which to completely waste untold thousands and thousands of dollars colleges for Daughter. They all seem to blend together after a while but there was one small glimmer of Hope and Change for the future of America that we saw in the window of a dorm at George Washington University:

Those well-educated and sensible youth will go far in this world, my Friends.

Depending on your daughter’s interests, she might want to check out the school where I teach (Lehigh). We’re a lot closer to home, a fair bit cheaper (though not as cheap as I’m sure you’d like), and giving you guys a tour would be a great excuse for me to finally learn about this campus where I’ve been for the last 2 years. Plus, we now have one R senator, a R congressman, and an R governor.

I can see the advertising campaign now… “Pennsylvania, the Red State Next Door”

Be prepared… Daughter One’s first year at Drexel was an endless flurry of check writing above and beyond tuition and living expenses. I got tagged for over four hundred dollars for a “data entry fee” for entering her info into their computer system. It was endless.

GW is something north of $56,000.

    It’s insane.

  7. Mike says:

Does admissions still claim that having graduation on the Mall makes every penny worth it?

  8. Dave J. says:

Marco’s DC campaign coordinator is (or was) a student at GW. That may have been her window.

  9. Gary from Jersey says:

I’m surprised that student wasn’t charged with a hate crime.
