University of Arizona T-Shirt Thoughts For the Day
…from my old buddy Dan.
…I’m just thinking . . . if it were a memorial event, it might have been better to donate the money to some charity. But, hey, that’s just me. Anyway, souvenirs from an event memorializing the victims of an atrocity?
“Hey, dude . . . remember that time in college that little girl got shot by that Tea Partier? Good times. I’ve still got the t-shirt.” Or as someone on Twitter said, “A nine-year-old girl was shot and killed, and all I got was this lousy t-shirt.” Weird and ghoulish. Did nobody advise anyone in charge that this was nuts?
Never mind. This is the dipshit institution that let Deb Frisch blackmail them into keeping her on faculty for six years, I think it was.
Citizen: “Oh, my God! Six people murdered!”
UofA: “Together We Thrive!”

Oh gods. And what do you bet some of those shirts show up on eBay?
You don’t need to go to eBay for them. The university is making plans to sell them directly to the public.
T-shirt sales to become a ~ dare I say it? ~ thriving concern?
Dan nails the collective stupidity at the U of Arizona. Things are to the point that I tell some kids to think twice about college.
To be a thriving concern wouldn’t you have to sell them by the…gross?
I went online to the bookstore and there is no mention or offering for the t-shirts. There was a post on Freeperstan to the effect that requests were being taken by the student something, I’ve already forgotten, but I couldn’t find any mention of it there either. Seems like a bizarre place to place orders anyway. It will all be known in the fullness of time I guess.
To give you some idea, the current president of the university replaced a president that was best known for trying to prevent students from throwing tortillas from the balcony during graduation excercises. No, really.
