Vlad The Impaler

Additional to Sis’s post below, it is frankly amazing to me the depths to which “Smart Power” has sunk us. Think about it: the President of a foreign power mocks our President via the Op-Ed pages of the NYT the day after he gives a televised address. It is simply astonishing, and frightening.

We have placed ourselves in the care of a cadre of academics and mid-twenty something “senior policy advisors” under the leadership of a community organizer. Now while of course academics can be very smart and capable people they also tend, as my beloved Bride said to me the other day, yes they also tend to think, no to firmly believe in fact, that words equal actions.

And that misconception has deadly consequences for non-academics.

Very deadly. Something that the academics will never grasp, and why they should be firmly ignored.

Well, at least he has nice creases…

Even the chinless chipmunk of Syria decided to kick President Puttz in the family jewels.

Zero has ‘nads, Guns? Could have fooled me.

Yep, and his wife was really upset at having her purse kicked by a Syrian dictator.

Paul Johnson, in his history of the “short 20th century (1919-1991)” entitled “Modern Times” noted that Mussolini, presented with some problem, thought it was solved once he made a speech about it. I fear Obumbler thinks the same.

What was that all the elite good-thinkers were saying about Sarah Palin being so dumb? It’s a pity we’ll never have a Palin presidency. I doubt she would have gotten into the mess that the Regressives’ Smart Diplomacy has.
