What we seeing play out now in the Brexit post-mortem is the exact kind of over-educated, arrogant dismissal of the will of the proletariat that got them where they are. When it was all heading in REMAIN’s direction, no one really heard anything about education, income class, AGE… But now that things have gone so horribly awry for the so horribly better situated in their plans for controlling lives not their own, in an effort to delegitimize the entire process, all these patronizing denigrations of the electorate who chose LEAVE have started. When you drill down into the post-polling data, they sniff and look disgustedly Heavenward, you see UNEDUCATED (by which they mean: no sheepskin), UNWASHED, MENIAL JOBS, LOWER MIDDLE CLASS, LOVELY FILTH OVER HERE, DENNIS! Ergo, this entire process is tainted, denying the flower of UK 20 somethings the future of THEIR choice (“I’m NOT British, I’m EUROPEAN” read one sweet young thing’s sign), as these selfish, “patriotic” OLD FUCKERS who are going to DIE SOON ANYWAY indulged themselves in one last fantasy round of Rule Britannia.
As David Brooks said last night, he understood LEAVE’s anger, he just wished they’d embraced a “more cosmopolitan form of patriotism.” WTF does that even MEAN?
It’s an ageist AND uneducated themed run at…your everyday, regular Brit.
The enraged, ever-so-clevers are manipulating this momentous ROAR of a formerly mewling British lion into:
“Toothless, rag-selling, dung covered Alzheimer patients ruin youths’ bright future.“

This the standard response of lefties when they don’t get their way — they throw a tantrum. “Democratic process? Pfui! That’s not what I asked for! WAAAAAH!!!!!” The format is generally a protest or riot, but a tantrum at its core.
It’s all too common of an occurrence of late: Black Lives Matters, Occupy Wall Street, college campus “safe space” crap, and the excreable sit-in in the House of Representatives by the Democrat clowns.
Will this ugly? It did with Black Lives Matter, so it could again here in the USA. In England, that’s possible as well, they’ve had their share of riots from twenty somethings with more time on their hands than sense in their brains.
But you have the right of it, Sis. Don’t let them.

It means they told him, and those who agree with him, to stuffit.
And he, of course, is having a major temper tantrum in response.
It is the predictable reaction by the “stays” seeing as how the EU was birthed from a broken promise to respect the will of the people in the first place.
David Brooks isn’t someone I look to for intelligent analyses or insights.
Via Ace, I saw a very good point from Greg Gutfeld – Venezuela’s been melting down before our eyes for years, with nary a peep from the same traditional media outlets that are treating Britain’s largely on-paper departure from this supernational bureaucratic oligarchy like they’d just blown up Parliament.
The markets are already rebounding, Britons will be more free – or at least, they will only be harassed endlessly by their own homegrown and elected busybodies – and these twits can’t take it, and are melting down like chocolate bars in Chernobyl.
Off topic, but what’s everybody grilling for the holiday? I just finished making 1.5 dozen deviled eggs – my contribution.
I wish you lived near me – I LOVE deviled eggs. Hmm – maybe I’ll do some too.
