Well As Of 10:20 PM It’s Not “The Storm Of The Century”

But it is rather pleasant to see

I do lurves me some snow.

Update: we really haven’t had that much snow here at the Shore

but it is purdy

Morning Update:

We ended up with a very pleasing 9″

and thankfully not the faintest zephyr of a breeze all night so no downed trees or power issues (so far at least).

And as an aside I would willingly bear the love child of Arthur Sicard.

    Hmph.

From the way it’s reported I’d have thought Claude was in the stewpot over your blazing furniture.

  2. Donna D. says:

Woke up to 10+ inches where we live, so happy we didn’t loose power!

  3. Mr. Bingley says:

I think Claude would find a way to get me in the pot…

  4. Mr. Bingley says:

It’s a good thing you didn’t lose power, Ms. D.; I’d hate to read about there being a Donna Party in NJ…

  5. Gunslinger says:

Pretty much the same thing we got here on Wednesday. It is purdy, except for the shoveling and scraping.

  6. Mr. Bingley says:

I got to use my snowblower!

Claude would never be so rude ~ he’d go for the neighbors.

Hooray, Donna! Kcruella said she was fine ~ had the Fresca and snacks laid in ahead of time, so didn’t even have to set one cold toe outside.

As for us, 72 here and had a lovely, clear evening for the Illuminated Pirate Ships Mardi Gras parade last night.

    “A very pleasing 9 inches”? I’m biting my tongue… 😉

And as for us, a lovely clear evening lat night also. And low 80’s today.

But if you lurves you some snow, stay RIGHT where you are. Because we aren’t having any, thank you (or at least nothing that actually sticks to the ground). 😛

Oh – we’ve had snow – go look up the “Great Blizzard of 1899.” And we’ve had a few sightings since – but they didn’t survive contact with the ground.

Snow’s “purdy” – as you say. Until one wants to go somewhere.

I have a pair of nice antique black-and-white prints hanging on my wall, of lovely pristine snowfalls in Massachusetts (from whence my parents came). Really lovely. Purdy, even.

I keep them on my wall to remind me just why I moved to Florida.

Still, glad you didn’t get zapped.
