    Another Attention Whore move by the Weather Channel. (Someone needs to start up a competing channel that just shows the weather all the time, without the stupid “reality” shows)

    We’ve got one here – it’s not advertised, you have to channel surf to find it.

    It’s nothing but white on black text with the current weather, the daily forecast, and info on warnings (if any). Very handy during hurricane season. You get the info without the “OMG ONOZ we’re all gonna die” common on the more ‘mainstream’ channels.

    P.S. Not sure I’m against naming winter storms (except NEMO shouldn’t be allowed – that’s the same as calling it a no-name storm).

    Naming a storm makes it an official bad guy. Which MIGHT make people take precautions.
