They’ve decided to stick with Chevron, who’s apparently sweetened their bid. Alrighty, then.

    It doesn’t seem to be completely a done deal: there’s bound to be another bid from the Chinese. But it certainly is looking more in Chevron’s favor, thank God.

    Unocal prefers Chevron bid over Chinese

    This seems like good news to me. Giving the Chinese a big chunk in what is arguably one of our most security sensitive industries did not strike me as wise.
